Chief Registrar Closes PET Training, Urges Participants to be Ambassadors of the Tool

This afternoon, the Ag. Chief Registrar, HW Pamella Lamunu Ocaya, officially closed a two-day training on the Performance Enhancement Tool (PET) for 40 non-judicial officers from six courts. The training took place at the Supreme Court Building Conference Hall and included participants from the courts of Nakawa, Mpigi, Nabweru, Kajjansi, and Mukono.
In her remarks, the Chief Registrar emphasized that the PET is designed to enhance, evaluate, and monitor performance at both individual and institutional levels. She noted that the future success of the Tool depends on how effectively it is utilized, as it provides insights into areas of strength and those requiring improvement.
HW Lamunu commended the trainers for their exceptional work, highlighting that the success of such innovations lies in how well users are trained. The positive feedback from participants, she said, was a testament to the quality of the training delivered.
She urged participants to serve as ambassadors of the Judiciary by promoting awareness of the360-degree Appraisal System. And encouraged them to share their knowledge of the tool with colleagues and ensure its widespread adoption.
Additionally, she advised participants to use training sessions as opportunities to build professional networks, fostering collaboration and support in case of future challenges when using the tool. She encouraged them to internalize the steps taught and seek guidance from peers and technical officers whenever necessary.
The training was also attended by HW Agnes Alum, Ag. Registrar Magistrates Affairs and Data Management, alongside members of the Performance Management and Awards Committee.
To recognize their active participation, several attendees were presented with gift hampers as a token of appreciation.
